Description
Bring your sisters, call your mom, get your friends....come to
von Stiehl's Ladies of the Vine Winter event!
You will enjoy a beautiful array of cheeses and accompaniments,
and discover which ones pair well with which wines.
Our wine experts will answer general wine questions from the audience
as well as discuss the nuances of the wines offered by von Stiehl Winery. The panel will include von Stiehl and Captain's Walk owner and winemaker, Aric Schmiling and Captain's Walk's assistant manager, PJ Koehler.
They will guide your cheese and wine experimentation
with their extensive knowledge.
Our Cheese Expert from Nala's Cheese, Alan Trick, will also be present to share his knowledge and top cheeses.

Description
The original von Stiehl Winery building is located on the north side of Navarino Street; two blocks from Lake Michigan on the Ahnapee River. The Italianate four story building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Guest areas include the third story tasting room, a 2,700 square foot terrace, and an underground vault available for special and private events.
Across the street is the second and current winery; otherwise known as Over There. Production moved to Over There in June 2011. The 11,100 square foot facility houses bottling, production, and wine storage rooms. It is available to see during any of our regularly scheduled tours.
