von Stiehl Vineyard, Stony Creek

Oldest commercial vineyard in Door County

von Stiehl Vineyard, Stony Creek, is located in Door County, only six miles north of the von Stiehl Winery and Production facility. The vineyard planted its first vines in 1996 on the land that has been in the Schmiling family for over 100 years. Making it the oldest commercial vineyard located on the Door County, Wisconsin peninsula.

Stony Creek Vineyard was named after the meandering waterway that it overlooks. Three French-hybrid grape varieties are grown in this vineyard; Marquette, Marechal Foch, and Frontenac. Tour the vineyard and learn why each varietal creates your favorite von Stiehl estate wines including Stony Creek Rosé, Marechal Foch (Sylvester), and Captain’s Walk Marquette Rosé.

We will be offering private vineyard tours and wine tasting in the coming months. Follow our Facebook page for upcoming news and events.
