Winter means skiing, and skiing means apres ski, and apres ski means Wisconsin Wine. While downhill skiing may be a little challenging to find here in eastern Wisconsin, there are abundant opportunities for cross country skiing.
The Ahnapee State Trail is close to our Wisconsin Winery. Stretching about thirty miles along an abandonned railroad line from Casco to Sturgeon Bay, it is a lovely, mostly level place to stretch your legs. Cross country skiers can truly find their stride as they follow the trail along the Ahnapee River, through woods and open lands.
Once you've had enough physical activity for the day, load up your skis and head to our Algoma Winery. We'll let you sit while you taste our wines; we want you to be relaxed while you select which wines you'd like to purchase. Are you in the mood for something red and rich, like our Crimson Royale, or something light and crisp like our Chenin Blanc? Perhaps you want a fruity flavor; if so, try our Cherry Kirsche, fortified with brandy. Whatever you select, we are confident you'll be happy. Take it home, put your feet up, and enjoy it with good friends.
