It's true, we here in Algoma Wisconsin like to celebrate Mardi Gras as much as the folks down in New Orleans. Instead of heading to a warmer climate for this pre-Lentian celebration, come to the chilly shores of Lake Michigan. While you are here, stop by our Algoma winery and pick up a bottle or two for Mardi Gras.
February 13, 2010, will be the ninth annual Mardi Gras at the Berald J. Haegele Center in Algoma. The fun starts at 6pm; we can't predict when it will finish. Newsman Bill Jartz from WBAY will be on hand, along with Great Chefs and tasty Cajun-Themed foods. Plan to eat, drink and dance into the wee hours.
Since this is a fundraiser for the Farm Market Kitchen, there will be two auctions. Those of you who prefer to take your time and quietly browse may like the silent auction, while those of you who enjoy being spontaneous may prefer the Verbal Auction.
We create several tasty Wisconsin wines that pair nicely with spicy Cajun foods. You are always welcome to stop by our tasting room to help you select the perfect wine for any occasion. Our knowledgeable and friendly staff enjoys helping folks with this task.
