Super Super Bowl Sunday Event
Super Bowl Sunday doesn't only have to be about football. Really.
This year, Super Bowl Sunday can be about a whole lot more, at least for any ladies who can be at our Algoma, Wisconsin Winery from noon to 3:00 p.m.
Ladies of the Vine "Super" Tasting
February 5, 2012
aka Super Bowl Sunday
Learn about that mysterious magical art--the art of pairing wine with food. In honor of the Super Bowl, the focus is on casual fare rather than gourmet.
Have you always wondered which wines taste best with pizza? With burgers? With bowls of chips and dip? These mysteries and others will be solved on Super Bowl Sunday at von Stiehl. We'll share some cardinal "dos" and "don'ts". We'll eat food. We'll sip several types of our Wisconsin wine. We won't have our eyes glued to a television.
After the magical pairing of wine and food, we'll turn the spotlight on Lou Lepore. Lou has been practicing and performing magic for more than 25 years. We expect audience participation, laughs, and magic, of course.
By the time our "Super" Tasting has finished, participants may not remember the other big event that takes place on February 5, 2012. Those who do remember should have ample time to make it to a Super Bowl party.
Not a member of Ladies of the Vine? Not a problem. To become a member, all you have to do is attend an event. Ladies of the Vine are entitled to many perks: 10% off gift merchandise at the winery, periodic special deals on our Wisconsin wine, and invitations to exclusive events.

Ladies of the Vine know how to have fun.
Von Stiehl Harvest Luncheon
Our livelihood depends on a good fall harvest (and of course the subsequent creation of our Algoma, Wisconsin, wine) Maybe that's why we take so much pleasure in celebrating the fall harvest here at our Algoma, Wisconsin winery.
Members of our Ladies of the Vine club are invited to a Harvest Luncheon on November 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is just $34.99 per person.

The Harvest Luncheon includes:
- A Tour of our Algoma, Wisconsin Winery, including our newly remodeled "old spaces", the rathskeller and the tunnel, and our new production facility, affectionately known as "Over There".
- A wine reception.
- A five-course tapas luncheon inspired by the harvest and paired with five of our Wisconsin wines, selected to complement each dish.
This is a wonderful opportunity to visit with old friends and make new friends. It's easy to become a member of Ladies of the Vine. All you have to do is attend one of our LOTV events. Space is limited, so RSVP ASAP. Call 1.800.955.5208.
2011 Ladies' Fest at von Stiehl
Ladies' Fest takes place at our Algoma Wisconsin Winery on July 9, 2011. This is the event you lovely Ladies of the Vine anticipate all year. It's your chance to spend a day with good friends, pamper yourself, and drink some tasty Wisconsin Wine.
Admission (a mere $30) buys each lucky lady a massage, two glasses of our Algoma Wisconsin Wine, a Naughty Girl wine glass to take home, lunch, and a chocolate truffle. Live music by The Kerry Michaels and The Mulligans will help set a festive mood.
Dozens of specialty vendors with products ranging from designer jewelry to financial planning will be on hand. Eat, shop, drink, shop, and learn to belly dance. Really.
Our "pool boys" will be pouring Naughty Girl Red, White Stiletto, Risqué Riesling, Sassy Sangria, and many more. Sit back, sip wine, and laugh with friends. Now doesn't that sound like a perfect summer day?

Superbowl Sunday = Glamorous Ladies
There is a good chance the Green Bay Packers will be playing on February 6, 2011. That's cause for celebration here at our Algoma Wisconsin Winery, just 30 miles east of Green Bay. Go Packers!
Yet no matter who plays on February 6, we want our Ladies of the Vine to look good. That's why we're celebrating Superbowl Sunday with a special event for our Ladies of the Vine: GLAMOROUS ME!
Gather together a few friends and come to a fun, beautifying event at Algoma's Farm Market Kitchen, close to our Wisconsin Winery. GLAMOROUS ME! runs from noon to 3 p.m. - you'll be finished in plenty of time to get to your Superbowl Party (no matter who's playing).
We'll start with lunch, of course: a buffet of warm soups and crunchy salads, and tantalizing freshly baked breads (baked on site by Uprisings). Dessert will be Kattywompus Konfecton chocolate and cookies; and yes, there will be plenty of your favorite Wisconsin Wine.
After lunch, let the fun begin!
We're bringing together experts on hair, make-up, and style to help you be the most glamorous you. Mary Kay representatives will help you find the right products for your skin, particularly your eyes and lips. Give yourself over to them, and leave with a perfect, new lipstick color.
Stacey from Nell's Wigs in Green Bay will showcase many wigs and fun hair extensions. She'll show us how to use them to accent our own hair, and how to go about choosing a wig. Stacey knows make-up as well as hair (having worked as a professional make-up artist in the theatre), and she will happily share tips on how to accent our best features and mask our least favorite.
Finally, bring a few scarves. Lynn from Interior Motives in Green Bay has promised to show us 22 different ways to wear a scarf. Who knew?
Ladies, we'll be GLAMOROUS.
Stop by our Wisconsin Winery before or after the event, where you'll receive a free bottle of wine (for attending GLAMOROUS ME!) and find a host of cheese, crackers, chocolates and other tasty treats for your Super Bowl Party. All snack items will be 50% off for you glamorous gals.
If you're not already a member of Ladies of the Vine, don't fret. You automatically become a member when you attend a Ladies of the Vine event.

Ladies Rave About Wisconsin Winery Festival
We are thrilled each summer when ladies step out for Ladies' Fest at our Algoma Wisconsin Winery. Since Ladies' Fest 2010 is just a few days away on Saturday, July 10, we thought we'd pass on a few comments about past Ladies' Festivals.
2010 Ladies Festival at Algoma Wisconsin Winery
Our Algoma Wisconsin Winery annual Ladies Fest is just around the corner, on July 10, 2010. We've been fielding a lot of questions about the event, so we thought we'd provide a few FAQs. Read on to learn about food choices, dance lessions, massages and more!
Do I need to purchase a ticket prior to the event?
We do not offer pre-sales of tickets unless it's a discounted package price for 10 or more ladies. Simply purchase your ticket at the gate on July 10th. The line is the longest between 11:30 am. and 1 pm., but it's a festival atmosphere so nobody seems to mind.
What is the food that is included?
You will have a choice: (while supplies last)
Poppyseed Chicken Pasta Salad
Julienne Chicken Breast Strips, Red & Yellow Peppers, Fresh Grapes, and pasta mixed through with poppyseed dressing
OR
Chicken Caesar Wrap
Grilled Chicken, Romaine Lettuce, Parmesan Cheese & Caesar dressing wrapped in a tortilla. The dishes will be catered in by The Marq (the former Apple Creek Inn out of De Pere)
Other food to be purchased on the grounds includes items like cheese and crackers, fresh fruit, turtle brownies, and strawberry shortcake.
What is the shopping all about?
The shopping "Faire" will include over twenty vendors and will be set up just outside of the festival grounds. A large variety of purses, jewelry, kitchen wares, and other fun items will be available. There will also be experts on hand to advise you in skin care, financial decisions, and travel.
What kind of dance lessons are going on and at what times?
Throughout the day, there are belly dancing demos and lessons.
How do the massages work?
The massages are from 11am to 5 pm, and are given by a team of 20 professional massage therapists in a separate tent. They are there to pamper you and help you to enjoy the benefits of massage. Every lady that receives a massage will also be given a free bottle of water afterward. A third glass of wine, soda, or water will be offered to ladies who are unable to receive a massage due to lack of availability, any personal health condition, or your personal preference. The therapists reserve the right to refuse a massage to anyone at any time.
If I purchase wine, is there some way to get it to my car?
Yes, we will have "pool boys" to serve and help out. We will also be running a jeep as a shuttle. This is a clean event, so don't worry about the pool boys. They are harmless.
What bands are playing and when?
Kerry Michaels acoustic rock from 11 am. to 3 pm., and the Mango Brothers Band from 3 pm. to 7 pm.
Do I have to be a member of the Ladies of the Vine to attend?
You do not need to be a member, but you will become one just by attending this event.
You get special treatment as soon as you become a member, including 10% off of all gift merchandise and free tours for you and your party (May through October). We also will keep you informed via email about upcoming Ladies' events and specials.
Is the winery open that day and will there be tours?
Yes, we will be open from 9 am. to 7 pm. Tours normally cost $3.75 per person and run from 9:30 am. to 5 pm. Once you become a LOTV member, your tours are free.
Will there be any non-alcoholic beverages?
Yes, non alcoholic sparking grape juice, soda, and water.
Wine and Cheese for the Ladies of the Vine
In less than a month, the Ladies of the Vine will be gathering again with another fun event. The Ladies of the Vine Wine Panel will take place on Sunday, February 7, 2010, from 1:30 to 3:30. The Panel consists of our Wisconsin Winery vintner, Aric Schmilling; P.J. Koehler, the assistant manager from our sister winery Captain's Walk; and Green Bay's Nala's Cheese expert, Alan Trick.
Ladies of the Vine and their guests will learn about the different wines we craft at our Wisconsin wineries. The important art of pairing wine and cheese so that both taste their best will also be discussed. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions as we all sip and nibble our way through the afternoon.
We can think of no better way to get through the winter than to gather together with good friends, good wine, and good food at our Algoma WI winery.
