This Friday, January 14, 2011, will be the third Algoma Art Wave, and we think it will be at least as successful as its predecessors. To date, there’s been a fantastic turnout on the second Friday of the month, as folks step out of their routine to look at the work of local and international artists. The bottom line is, it’s fun. We hope to see art lovers back at our Algoma Wisconsin Winery tasting room before Art Wave begins at 5 p.m...

The Eclipse Gallery is hosting an opening reception for The Milkweed Project this Friday between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.. The Milkweed Project & Other Flawless Fibers includes a magical piece that is “a collaborative artwork made up of approximately 150 objects created by several hundred artists and crafters from 30 states and 10 countries”. The Milkweed Project, pictured here, was conceived by Shan Bryan-Hansen.

Caffé Tlazo
is featuring the artwork of Lia Montgomery and Autumn Cowell. During Art Wave, Caffé Tlazo is a good place to warm up with a drink, good food, good company and good music. Pete Honzik will perform between 7 and 9 p.m. on Friday the 14th.

All of us here at our Algoma Wisconsin Winery are thrilled about Art Wave. It’s exciting to see the community come together in support of the arts, and to see folks from all walks of life stepping out to enjoy our town on the shores of Lake Michigan. Hope to see you Friday.
