This weekend, December 5 and 6, 2009, Algoma Wisconsin is celebrating Christmas, with “Christmas in the City“. There will be a festive mood in the air, as folks trudge from shop to shop, buying locally made crafts, warming themselves with cups of coffee and cocoa, and participating in a variety of activities from throwing pots to decorating cookies. Live music will waft out doors of several venues, and there will even be a parade. This event is not to be missed!
Of course, no holiday celebration would be complete without wine, which is why our Wisconsin Winery is joining the fun. Look forward to Wine Specials, Complimentary Samples and live Harp Music with Tammy Maze on Saturday from 1 – 3pm. Tour the winery, linger in the sampling room and find a wine you really like.
It’s great to have a case or two of wine on hand around the holidays. You’ll always have wine to share when friends drop by to deliver a plate of home-baked cookies, and you’ll always have a bottle to take to gatherings. Wisconsin wine also makes a great gift. If you live in Wisconsin, you can feel good about sharing a product that was made locally. If you live out of state, you may know folks who have (gasp!) never tasted Wisconsin Wine. And that’s just not right.
So head to the shores of Lake Michigan weekend for festive holiday shopping, wine tasting, and fun.
