Red Wine Tasting and Barbecue – von Stiehl Winery, Algoma, Wisconsin
You know how in some unnamed states there are these big posh tasting rooms overflowing with expensive furniture and 24 carat gold lighting fixtures staffed with snooty I’m-better-than-you workers spouting facts that you just don’t care about? That’s not us. We make wines from the same grapes bought from the same grape farmers in California and Washington. The difference is that we’re a bunch of Midwesterners taught to work hard and put out a great product at a value price. The other difference is that we don’t put ourselves on a pedestal. We’d prefer to make you the important one. After all, you are who keeps our doors open.

In light of having a relaxed atmosphere focused on great wine and good times, we are offering a Red Wine Tasting and Barbecue. Join us for the unveiling of our newest dry red wines, delicious barbecue, the roll-out of our Reds Only wine club, tasting and fun on November 8th from 4pm-7pm.  Your $25 includes a full red wine tasting, a glass of the wine you choose as your favorite, and a plate of tasty

barbecue that pairs perfectly with the day. You’ll have an opportunity to sample a few new reds including Sangiovese Grosso, Petite Sirah and Stony Creek Red, as well as a couple of wines still in their barrels. On November 8th only when you sign up for a year of shipments, you’ll receive a free bottle of wine to take home with you!

This event won’t be in our tasting room. Rather you’ll enjoy a night in our production facility hosted by our wine makers. Please call right away or to purchase tickets please visit Brown Paper Tickets.

This summer we were at your winery and bought wine which was super but it’s gone and we want to order more. Since you don’t ship to Texas, our neighbors are from Green Bay and are going up in a few months. Can you send me a list of ll your Reds and Whites so we can ask them to bring several cases. The name pf the Pignoit and the Reds. Thank you
