Many Door County Bed and Breakfasts and vacation cabins are offering romance packages now through March, 2011. This is a wonderful time to run off to beautiful Door County with the person you love. Be sure to swing by our Wisconsin Winery in Algoma when you do, for our wine complements romance.

If you define a romantic weekend as days of fresh air followed evenings by the fire, Door County has what you need. Outdoor activities abound year round in Door County. At this time of year, nordic skiers and snowmobilers have an eye to the sky and an ear to snow reports; most are ready to drop everything and head for the trails as soon as the powder starts to accumulate. As of yet there is not a deep base of snow in the Door County, but many trails are still skiable and fresh snow is on the way. If you’re planning a trip this weekend, head to the Peninsula State Park in Fish Creek or Snowkraft Nordic in Sturgeon Bay.

Our Algoma Wisconsin Winery is situated at the base of the Door Peninsula on the shores of Lake Michigan. We’re just 45 minutes northeast of Green Bay. Stop by the winery on your way to a romantic getaway at a Door County inn or cabin. Take time to taste our wine and find one that will be perfect for your weekend. If you’re planning to cook, our pourers can suggest a wine to pair with your meal. If you would like a bottle to share while cuddling by the fire, we can help you find a wine that is lovely on its own.

Hope to see you soon!
