Summer Concert Series with Annie Rose Band

Concert Series

What do you get when you combine a touch of Jazz, Blues, Gospel and a lot of Rock?  Nothing other than the Annie Rose Band!  Annie Rose is often referred to as “Green Bay’s best kept secret.”  She is returning to the von Stiehl stage to help us kick off our 2018 Summer Concert Series on Saturday, July 7th, from 12:30-4:00 pm.

The music is going to be great.  Add a cool Lake Michigan breeze, a beautiful riverside view, a glass of your favorite von Stiehl wine, or maybe even a beer from Ahnapee Brewery and then you have the recipe for the perfect lakeside summer afternoon.

New this year, we are re-releasing one of our vintage wines each Saturday. Sample a re-released vintage wine in our tasting room, for an additional $1 when tasting our Select Wine Tasting. Keep in mind that we may run out of certain offerings as the day goes on. It’s both a sad, and a happy time! Our vintage wine for this Saturday is our 2010 Yakima Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.

We’ve also changed the layout this year, as we no longer have a tent on the front lawn for wine sales. Instead, we will be serving wine out our window and inside the winery, allowing for cash and card sales. We will also have a couple of hostesses each concert to provide table service for wine by the bottle. Beer will be available at the Taproom, but still can be enjoyed on the terrace.

The Skaliwagon Food Truck will not be with us this year. Instead, we recommend trying our Picnic Box for 2. The Picnic Box will include local Wisconsin cheeses, crackers, von Stiehl’s Hard Cider Sausage from Salmon’s Meats made with our Hard Cider, Door County munchies, Halo Vino glasses and other yummy snacks fit for two. This box can be found in our Tasting Room or ordered at the window.

Arrive before the concert starts to sample some of our gourmet wines in our Civil War era building that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, or even take a tour including a visit to our underground limestone tunnels and our 10,000 square foot production facility.

Admission is free.

*Bands may be subject to change. Sorry, no food or drink carry-ins allowed, but wine, beer, food, water & soda will be available for purchase.

What does everything cost?

Admission is free! Wine and beer are àla carte.

We have complimentary wine tasting inside the winery, in addition to a Select Wine Tasting for $5.

Are carry-in’s allowed?

Food & drink carry-ins are not permitted. We will have a Picnic Box for Two special featuring von Stiehl’s Hard Cider Sausage, your choice of Wisconsin cheese, Door County munchies and more to help ease your tummy!

Should I bring a chair?

It might not hurt. We have seating for around 300 on our three-tiered terrace and have days were 700+ people attend the concert.

Is it rain or shine?

No, for the safety of the band & our staff, we may have to cancel the concert. The best way to stay up to date on the concerts is by checking our Facebook page or giving us a call.

Is my pup allowed?

Yes! We do allow dogs on the lawn, but please be sure to keep them leashed, in your sight and clean up any messes. Only service dogs are allowed in the winery.

Who’s running this show?

It’s a collaboration among Ahnapee Brewery and von Stiehl Winery. If you have a specific question that is not covered, please feel free to email our Director of Events at rayanne@vonstiehl.com.

Annie Rose Band Concert at von Stiehl Winery in Algoma

Saturday • July 16 • 12:30–4pm • Free Admission

What makes the perfect music venue? In the concert world acoustics make all of the difference. The best concert venue in northeast Wisconsin is the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts. The acoustics there are amazing! Our venue won’t be the best for a symphony, but we have a few other advantages.

For starters, the Cuisine Concert backdrop is the Ahnapee River and Lake Michigan. That means cool summer breezes. It means plenty of mood-boosting negative ions! When the inland hits the 90s, everyone drives to the lake to enjoy upper 70s or lower 80s.

Now a summer Saturday afternoon with the Annie Rose Band in Wisconsin begs for a glass or two of wine – von Stiehl wine! Combine a cool breeze, waterscape, and wine! Should you get hungry, our friends from Skaliwags are on site with their catering truck. They serve the best gourmet sandwiches on the Lake Michigan east coast! For that matter, we’ll put their food against any truck on any coast!

Should you decide that wine isn’t for you during the Annie Rose Band Concert, just grab a craft beer from Ahnapee Brewery. The brewery’s tap room is right next door. You’ll also find the favorites on tap outside by the show.

Add all of that to the Annie Rose Band, and you’ve found the ideal venue for summer music.
