The Miller Art Museum is located in historic Sturgeon Bay and is open year round. It’s a great addition to a Door County vacation, particularly at this time of year, when snows are receding and spring has yet to arrive. Currently on exhibit at the Miller Art Museum is “Abstractions: Seven Artists – Seven Views”, through April 18, 2011. Seven Midwestern artists were invited to participate in this exhibit. They are painters and printmakers, sculptors and photographers. The museum is home to a permanent collection of works by 20th century Wisconsin artists; in addition, there is a special wing dedicated to the work of Gerhard C. F. Miller, who founded the museum along with his wife, Ruth. We invite you to stop by our Algoma Wisconsin Winery on your way up to Sturgeon Bay and the Miller Art Museum. Sample our Wisconsin wines in the tasting room, and select a bottle to enjoy while you’re up to Door County.
