Viking Cruises Return To Algoma
Ahoy, Wine-Lovers!
Algoma, WI is looking forward to the arrival of the Viking cruise ships, Polaris and Octantis, and their passengers in 2025! You are invited to join us on the lakeshore where you can watch the Viking cruises arrive and depart and the tenders that will ferry the passengers to and from shore.
The cruise ship staff and guests who choose to disembark will be ferried to shore and enjoy excursions around Algoma and the surrounding area, including scheduled private tours at the winery!
Due to these private tours, we will have limited tours offered at 1pm & 3pm on these select dates:
- Monday, May 26, 2025: Viking Octantis 8 AM – 6 PM
- Sunday, June 8, 2025: Viking Octantis 7 AM – 4 PM
- Sunday, June 22, 2025: Viking Polaris 8 AM – 6 PM
- Saturday, July 5, 2025: Viking Polaris 7 AM – 4 PM
- Sunday, August 3, 2025: Viking Polaris 8 AM – 6 PM
- Saturday, August 16, 2025: Viking Polaris 7 AM – 4 PM
*Arrival and departure times are subject to change depending on weather conditions.
The winery’s normal tour availability is offered daily, May-October, with tour departures at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm. Admission for these tours is $10/person, with children under eleven years of age being free.
Although we won’t have our normal operating tour hours on the above dates, you are more than welcome to take in the sights of the large cruise ships while enjoying wine, cider, and cocktails out on our terrace. Plus, if you decide to visit Algoma for the cruises on Saturday, July 5th, or Saturday, August 16th, you’ll also get the chance to view these impressive ships while vibrant sounds of live music fill the air.
Just like the Viking Cruise ships that will be docking in Algoma, we also carry precious cargo at the winery. So, stop by the winery and taste your fill of von Stiehl wine and cider. And if the afternoon’s excitement has your stomach growling, continue to roam the city and indulge in the many local establishments that provide delicious meals!
