Fall is in the Air

Summer is winding down and fall is in the air. Our grapes are starting to plump and turn red with the late summer sunshine. This is the time of year when grapes start to produce their sugars in preparation for harvest. To celebrate harvest season, we look forward to Wet Whistle Wine Fest taking place September 13th and 14th. At this year’s festival, we hope to see you enjoy wine, music, and friends of new and old, all while helping to raise funds for the Community Improvement of Algoma.
In preparation for fall and the harvest, we have decided to feature our Sparkling Viognier & Chenin Blanc for September. It’s an even blend of Viognier and Chenin Blanc. When you enjoy this Brut style wine, you will taste notes of apricot and honeysuckle along with rich flavors of ripe white peach and mineral. The small bubbles will heighten your senses and cleanse your palate between courses. Pair this dry white with a garlic shrimp dish, your favorite sushi, or Thai cuisine. Chévre and Brie are also the perfect soft cheeses that are enhanced by the mouthful of tiny bubbles from the wine. We even suggest starting your Saturday morning by adding this wine to your favorite orange juice, or relax after work with this intensely satisfying dry white wine.
Stop by and enjoy a free sample of Sparkling Viognier & Chenin Blanc with your tastings all month long. In fact, stop by this Saturday as we wrap up ourSummer Concert Series with the Annie Rose Band. We have our wine flights and wine slushies ready for you to enjoy as well.
Hope to see you soon!
~Cheers.
